Architect Led Design Team for Digital Manufacturing Futures Centre (DMFC) at Market Yard, Sligo

Tenders are invited from interested parties to provide Architect Led, Multi-Disciplinary Design Team services for the design, planning permission, tender and construction stages for the refurbishment of a building in Market Yard, Sligo as the proposed location for a new Digital Manufacturing Futures Centre (DMFC). The DMFC will be a new research and innovation hub to help further develop the North West region's manufacturing industry to meet Industry 4.0 challenges of rapid technological advances including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Data Science. This project is led by IT Sligo together with Sligo County Council, Leitrim County Council through a joint company called Sligo Leitrim Development DAC, funded by Enterprise Ireland. This development will allow the North West to further build on its reputation as an area of manufacturing excellence It is intended that the new development will be of high architectural quality. Sligo Leitrim Development DAC as the Client is seeking an Integrated Design Team to deliver an accessible, contemporary and technology centred environment which optimises opportunities for engagement. The project is being funded by Enterprise Ireland through the Border Enterprise Development Fund 2020. It is envisaged that the refurbishment project be complete and ready for occupation by Q1 2022. A preferred delivery date of Q4 2021 or earlier, is desired. The design team should have a strong track record in the delivery of quality commercial buildings incorporating cutting edge technology, sustainability in design and low energy requirements.
