Tender description

Utilising Article 72 (1) (b) to upgrade the Agfa radiology systems at Cork University and Mercy University Hospitals (Cork, Ireland) in order to stabilise and protect these systems over the next 5 years. As the National Imaging Program (NIMIS) will not be available to CUH or MUH for a number of years, there is a requirement to extend the service provision with an expected end date of December 2025. The extension of Agfa’s system will require a refresh of the solutions to ensure a supported and performant solution for the contract period. The extension of Agfa’s system will require a refresh of the solutions to ensure a supported and performant solution for the contract period: • core server and storage refresh requirements; • storage and infrastructure capacity planning for expected expansions over the contract period; • software upgrades to ensure performance, security and compliance; • refresh of PACS to latest available solution. The 3 pillars of the Public Service ICT strategy will be supported by this project with these upgrades and will cater for increased imaging capacity and facilitate the refresh of existing hardware which has reached end of life and thus will support the continued operation of the Agfa systems. The upgraded solution has an API layer designed to allow easy integration for external solutions such as portals, EHR and other applications. Upgrade of the Agfa radiology managed service will ensure continuity of Radiologist reporting and other imaging activities on the Agfa system which are crucial in supporting Health care services via image data sharing to the relevant clinicians delivering patient care.
