SMS Iconic Welsh Woodlands Fencing Tracks Thinning and Extraction Work - Framework Agreement

Tender description

1.1 Coed Cymru is seeking to appoint professional fencing, track creation and thinning contractors to undertake agreed capital works aiming to improve the ecological health and long-term economic potential of iconic Welsh woodlands 1.2 This project has been made possible by funding provided through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020, which is financed by the Welsh Government and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). 1.3 Coed Cymru is seeking to appoint a contractor(s) to install the capital works for the project. The contractor(s) will supply materials (subject to material specification in 3.2.1) and/or provide labour and machinery to erect agricultural fences and gates, create tracks and harvest trees. 1.4 All suitable applicants will secure a place on the framework agreement and will be contacted for specific items of work accordingly. Being placed on the framework agreement does not guarantee work on the project, however we will not be approaching other parties not on the framework as the project commences. 1.5 Please state clearly which items of work you are competent in providing and your capacity/availability. We will approach all applicants to price specific items of work as they become available, for example on a farm-by-farm basis.
