Tender description

This Invitation to Tender (ITT)) is inviting tenders for insurances coverage and associated services as required by Great Yarmouth Borough Council. Fire: — explosion (full); — aircraft or other aerial devices or articles dropped therefrom; — riot, civil commotion, strikers, locked-out workers or persons taking part in labour disturbances or malicious persons acting on behalf of or in connection with any political organisation; — riot, civil commotion, strikers, locked-out workers or persons taking part in labour disturbances or malicious persons; — storm; — impact by any road vehicle or animal not belonging to or under the control of the Insured or any occupier of the Premises or their respective employees; — impact by any road vehicle or animal. Fine art — ‘All Risks’ of accidental loss or damage, including theft and whilst in transit. Fire: — explosion (full); — aircraft or other aerial devices or articles dropped therefrom; — riot, civil commotion, strikers, locked-out workers or persons taking part in labour disturbances or malicious persons acting on behalf of or in connection with any political organisation; — riot, civil commotion, strikers, locked-out workers or persons taking part in labour disturbances or malicious persons; — earthquake; — storm or flood; — escape of water from any tank, apparatus or pipe; — impact by any road vehicle or animal not belonging to or under the control of the Insured or any occupier of the Premises or their respective employees; — impact by any road vehicle or animal; — theft (forcible/violent only); — subsidence, landslip or heave; — breakage or collapse of television or radio receivers; — leakage of oil from any fixed oil-fire installation; — falling trees; — damage to supply pipes and cables; — damage to fixed glass and sanitary earthenware; — any other accidental damage. Insurance of property against physical loss or physical damage occurring during the period of the insurance caused by an Act of Terrorism and/or Sabotage. Act of terrorism means an act or series of acts, including the use of force or violence, of any person or group(s), whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation, committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public or any section of the public in fear. Act of sabotage means a subversive act or series of such acts committed for political, religious or ideological purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public in fear for such purposes. Indemnity against legal liability to pay compensation for bodily injury sustained by any employee arising out of and in the course of employment by the insured in connection with the business and caused during the period of insurance. Including: — claimant’s costs and expenses; — defence costs and expenses — including: (a) costs of legal representation reasonably incurred with the insurer’s written consent at any: (i) coroner’s inquest or other inquiry in respect of any death, (ii) proceedings in any court (other than in the defence of criminal proceedings brought or in an appeal against conviction arising from such proceedings) in respect of any act or omission causing or relating to any occurrence; (b) other costs and expenses reasonably incurred with the insurer’s written consent in relation to any matter which may be the subject of indemnity. Indemnity in respect of loss of assets occurring as a direct result of any act of fraud or dishonesty committed by any person guaranteed acting alone or in collusion with others during the period of insurance provided always that such loss is discovered not more than 24 months following: (a) the termination of the insurance relative to the person guaranteed concerned in such loss; (b) the termination of employment with the insured of the person guaranteed or the last of the respective persons guaranteed if more than one was concerned with the fraud or dishonesty; (c) the termination of cover. If an insured person sustains accidental bodily injury during the operative time which within two years solely and independently of any other cause results in death, disablement or the incurring of medical expenses, insurers will pay the insured or, in the case of medical expenses, the insured or an insured person the amount appropriate to the benefit shown in the schedule. Material damage: — accident (excluding breakdown, fire perils and residual breakdown); — residual breakdown. Data and information: — accident; — fire, lightning, explosion or aircraft or other aerial devices dropped from them; — breakdown; — denial of access; — failure of electricity supply; — failure of telecommunications. Additional expenditure; — accident; — fire, lightning, explosion or aircraft or other aerial devices dropped from them; — breakdown; — denial of access; — failure of electricity supply; — failure of telecommunication. Inspection service Provide the Council with an inspection service for plant within normal working hours at the sites shown in the plant schedules. Insurance cover Cover Damage to insured property while it is: — at an insured location; or — temporarily removed from an insured location and being operated under the insured’s control anywhere within the territorial limits. Including damage to the insured property: — during transit; or — whilst temporarily removed from an insured location. Insured vehicles Use for social domestic and pleasure and the business of the Council. Any authorised licensed driver. ‘All Risks’ of accidental loss or damage, including theft (forcible/violent only) and subsidence, landslip or heave. The package comprises lots 1 to 12 (excluding lot 5).
