The sustainable materials innovation hub requires a wet fibre spinning line and a melt spinning line that can either be operated independently or integrated into a single modular unit; the equipment will be located in the Henry Royce Institute at The University of Manchester. The sustainable materials innovation hub requires a wet fibre spinning line and a melt spinning line that can either be operated independently or integrated into a single modular unit; the equipment will be located in the Henry Royce Institute at The University of Manchester. In line with tenability and repeatability, we seek a system capable controlled metering of the dope/melt to enable constant output from the spinning engine/extruder in the case of melt-spinning. Corrosion resistant construction is required. Computerised control system for monitoring and controlling all parameters, including pressure, speed, and temperature, with all parameters displayed on a single operating interface. System capable of controlling wet/gel spinning and melt spinning extrusion modules, as well as downstream process line.
