Tender description

National Grid is looking to secure design and project services for our construction activities across both terrestrial and marine environments. The services surround the full construction cycle from feasibility and survey works, front-end conceptual design and principal designer, detailing and drawing packages and updates, project, commercial, H&S and Site management through to verification and commissioning services across the asset types and services identified below. To supplement this service is the provision of specialist labour through secondment for our technical engineering requirements in support of our construction projects activities. 1) Engineering services general support; 2) Substations; 3) HVDC; 4) Onshore AC cabling; 5) Offshore cable and marine; 6) Overhead lines; 7) Data protection and cyber; 8) Gas; 9) Civils (civil structures, tunnel refurbishments, flood protection and ISS); 10) Project services; 11) Drawing services. 1) General Engineering Support Advisory and resource augmentation across most if not all niche disciplines identified below: Engineering services general support Substations HVDC Onshore AC cabling Offshore Cable and Marine Overhead lines Data protection and cyber Gas Civils (civil structures, tunnel refurbishments, flood protection and ISS Technical personnel Drawing services. The management of drawing records to a satisfactory standard is critical in enabling National Grid to successfully manage the gas and electricity supply system and fulfil its obligations to satisfy legislative, business and operational requirements. Operational drawings are those required for the operation and maintenance of the assets and to meet legislative and environmental requirements. Operational drawings shall be updated following each modification to any National Grid asset and must be delivered in both a native and pdf format.
