NHS Health Education England (HEE — the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of a National Discovery Service Solution for the NHS in England. Health Education England (HEE) is seeking to procure a national discovery service solution for the NHS in England. Our vision is ‘to provide healthcare staff and learners with a coherent gateway to their trusted library and knowledge service, connecting them seamlessly to quality resources, services and support tailored to their needs’. Our key goals are to: • increase use of high-quality NHS-funded and curated knowledge and evidence resources, including locally purchased and generated resources as well as national resources: we want to see both greater usage and more users; • ensure that healthcare staff and learners across England have a consistent, positive experience of accessing knowledge and evidence resources and library support; • reduce the complexity, inequity and costs inherent in maintaining multiple local and legacy resource discovery and management systems across the country.
