Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council wishes to purchase services for creative lighting design / lighting supply & installation of for three significant buildings in Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council wish to explore the use of external lighting to highlight key historic buildings, attractive structures and natural features in our town and encourage evening exploration and the extension of opening hours for the visitor. The use of creative colour lighting can enhance public realm and public interaction which contributes to ‘place making’ and can transform towns into high-quality places to live, visit and invest. This can assist with increased pedestrian flow, enhancing the vitality and vibrancy of the town and increased dwell time by visitors, which will lead to increased spend in local businesses. Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council propose to “Up Light” a number of significant buildings in the town of Dún Laoghaire. The three buildings to be included in this project include: “The National Maritime Museum” “St Michaels Church Tower” and the Light House on the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire. Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council wishes to purchase services form lighting specialists for the development of a proposed scheme of creative lighting design / lighting supply & installation for three significant buildings in Dún Laoghaire as part of our “Destination Town Programme”.
