Tender description

Moores House is a sheltered housing scheme with a small contract for warden care services with the Council. Retail Trust are both the landlord and current provider for the scheme. As the landlord, Retail Trust are able to enhance the quality of services provided in the schemes by offering a seamless service across both housing related support and housing management, which would be difficult for a different provider to achieve to the same standard with this level of funding. The Council currently has unmet need for Extra Care Housing and this scheme has potential to be remodelled into Extra Care to support more people to live independently. The Council is working with Retail Trust over the next 12months to remodel the service to meet some of this shortfall in supply. The exemption is therefore sought to cover this period.
