Bord Na Móna Powergen Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bord Na Mona plc, intends to construct a wind farm consisting of 24 wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure on a c.1908 Ha site in South County Longford, Ireland. The site spans three bogs, namely from north to south, Derryaroge, Derryadd and Lough Bannow and is located approximately 10 kilometres southwest of Longford Town. PQQ pertains to the following: The project has now entered the pre-construction phase and as part of these activities Bord na Móna Powergen are seeking expressions of interest to undertake: • Provide scoping document for 3rd party surveying contractor to undertake survey of the site drainage and external water course that interact with the site. The purpose of the survey will be to inform the Flood risk assessment and the detailed drainage design • A detailed Flood Risk Assessment (FRA)of the Derryadd Windfarm site and its environs to inform the min level to which site infrastructure is constructed to. • A detailed surface water drainage design for the windfarm site taking cognisance of the FRA, the preliminary design, planning conditions and applicable codes of practise. The detailed drainage design will include assessing and rationalising the 18 pumping stations that interact with the windfarm site. The final design will be incorporated into the civil and electrical contracts for the windfarm.The detailed Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) report and Drainage design is to be produced to the best industry standards for the proposed Derryadd Wind Farm High level over view of Windfarm site: Derryaroge, Derryadd and Lough Bannow Bogs were up until recently active peat production bogs within the Bord na Móna Mountidillon peat production bog group and are regulated under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) IPC Licence No. P504-01 (Bord na Móna Energy Ltd.).
