DCU LEE1021M Supply, Delivery and Installation of a Fluorescence Spectrometer capable of NIR emission detection

Tender description

This call for tender relates to the purchase of a spectrometer with NIR detection capability. The applications of this instrument will include the characterisation of new NIR emitting dyes and the study of their binding to biological molecules. Measurements important to this characterisation will include quantum yield determination and the measurement of singlet oxygen. The instrument must have NIR detection capability and accessories for quantitative measurement of fluorescent quantum yield and fluorescence polarization/anisotropy measurement, and capability to measure both solution and solid samples. The instrument should be capable of future modification with additional modules for the purpose of performing measurements such as: • Emission lifetime (ns to µs); by any method e.g. TCSPC or phase fluorimetry with fixed and/or tunable excitation • Up-conversion measurements • Variable temperature measurements (77K glasses, 0 – 100 °C programming) • Angle dependence measurements = Angle resolved measurements
