Training simulators

Tender description

RTES is a training system that does not require blank ammunition. Initial procurement and support of five or more units. Each unit is expected to contain: — 60 x electronic blank systems, — 60 x lasers, — 60 x sensor suites, — 3 x AAR systems. RTES is a standalone capability with no requirement to integrate with existing tactical engagement simulation capabilities. RTES capability will allow the Army to train using real weapon systems with simulated weapon effects without the constraint of blank ammunition safety distances and therefore a deployable training system. It will capture data from training to enable measurement and evaluation through after-action review (ARR). The following weapon systems are in scope (these could be subject to change) for RTES: L85A2 and A3, L131A1 General Service Pistol. (Glock 17), L129A1 Sharpshooter Rifle, L109 HE/L111 Practice Grenade, L118A3 Sniper Rifle and GPMG. The authority may wish to order further units, if so, these will be captured as part of the terms and conditions as contractual options.
