Tender description

• Screening for drugs of abuse is a mandatory requirement for initiation of structured drug treatment, treatment compliance and determination of adherence to court orders – or rehabilitation interventions. Legislated for within the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. • In Derby City there are approximately 1300 people in drug treatment (annually) who require screening twice prior to the commencement of treatment and thereafter a minimum of every 3 months to meet good practice guidance. • Urine screens, instant oral mouth swabs and in certain exceptional circumstances a laboratory screen and analysis may be required therefore are within the scope of the contract.
