Tender description

Network Rail requires the supply of the following equipment types to be used as part of its 750V DC distribution switchgear in the Southern Region: • short circuit switches; • controlled switches and disconnectors; • controlled short circuit switches and disconnectors. Please note any supplier wishing to participate in this opportunity must have a compliant product with a Rail Industry Readiness Level 6 or above only. For clarity, Rail Industry Readiness Level 5 or below will not be accepted. Network Rail wishes to appoint 1 supplier per lot for lot 1 and lot 2, to provide the isolation switch devices as set out in the specification within the tender documentation. Lot 1: Indoor ISD Network Rail requires the supply of the following equipment types to be used as part of its 750V DC distribution switchgear in the Southern and NW&C Regions: • short circuit switches; • controlled switches and disconnectors; and • controlled short circuit switches and disconnectors. Lot 2: Outdoor ISD Network Rail requires the supply of the following equipment types to be used as part of its 750V DC distribution switchgear in the Southern and NW&C Regions: • short circuit switches; • controlled switches and disconnectors; and • controlled short circuit switches and disconnectors.
