Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to prepare a strategic Plan named ‘Sligo: One Voice, One Vision-Towards 2030’ (Sligo 2030) to establish Sligo City and County Sligo as a smart City and Region targeting both urban and rural areas. The strategic Plan will be an integrated Economic, Social, Community and Spatial Plan for all of County Sligo. Sligo County Council is seeking to engage a multi-disciplinary team to produce this strategic Plan which will guide the development of the City and County over the next 10 years in the context of its regional growth centre status. The team should comprise a mix of skill sets in spatial, smart / digital transformation, economic and social development expertise as well as the climate change agenda. This strategic Plan encompassing Economic, Social and Spatial elements for all of County Sligo will also be Sligo’s Local Economic & Community Plan (LECP) the preparation of which is a statutory requirement for Local Authorities. The strategic Plan will be built on a number of key smart and green principles and will shape the development of Sligo over the next ten years.
