Tender description

The works are required to provide, geotechnical, structural and utilities information to allow the design and construction of a bridge widening or bridge replacement crossing the river at Glenmore Bridge on the R232 in Donegal. The scope of the works envisaged under this ground nivestigation contract include: a) Vertical cable percussion boreholes and rotary core drilling, sampling and in situ testing; b) Trial pits, sampling and testing; c) Slit trenching for utilities; d) Horizontal and vertical coring through masonry; e) Labrotary testing of soil samples for engineering properties, behaviour, contamination and suitability. f) Preparation of detailed Main Factual Report as per BS5930 and the Specification, together with the production of Digital Data to AGS Version 3.1 (1999) Format. g) Liaision with Donegal County Council and external bodies; h) Works inclduing the use of traffic management.
