This is notification of award following a VEAT notice previously published of the intention to award a contract to HDM Tubes Ltd for the purchase of tubular piles fabricated to the specification for the Foynes Jetty Extension project. As part of the Jetty Extension Project, the first shipment of piles was delivered to Foynes port under a previous procurement that was subsequently abandoned between the parties. The supplier approached SFPC to negotiate the purchase of the tubular piles at a considerably lower price than normal market value.
