Tender description

Due to the pandemic situation NHSBT agreed with the current supplier (Therakos UK) to extend this existing agreement for the current supply and support of Extracorporeal Photopheresis Systemsof (ref. NHSBT0789) beyond 31st January 2021 by 6 months (to 31 July 2021). In the context of NHSBT’s ongoing response to the Covid-19 situation, the rationale for the extension was to prioritise Therapeutic Apheresis Services' activities and staff to manage front line critical patient services. Due to uncertainty of the Covid-19 situation and the unforeseen circumstances of national interest/public health impact requiring an emergency response, NHSBT needs to extend the existing agreement for an additional 6 months. Total value of increase in price does not exceed 50 % of the value of the original framework agreement; The nature of contract has not been changed.
