<p>Potential tendering opportunities for Children’s Services in Dorset Pre-procurement market engagement event Dorset Council wishes to consult the service provider market for children’s services for a range of potential tender opportunities for services across a range of contracts including:</p> <p>• family group conferences</p> <p>• participation (children and young people)</p> <p>• advocacy and independent visitor service</p> <p>• other services which may include: specialist assessments, alternative education provision, appropriate adult services</p> <p>The aim of this event is to provide an outline of the commissioning intentions, so our commissioners understand interest and the market's capabilities. It’s also for potential service providers to:</p> <p>• gain a wider understanding of the scope</p> <p>• provide feedback</p> <p>• ask questions The session will explain:</p> <p>• how these services are currently provided in Dorset</p> <p>• the new operating model of children’s services</p> <p>• our financial position</p> <p>• plans and visions going forward</p> <p>• the procurement process</p> <p>The information gathered from this exercise will help shape future proposals including any potential tendering process and associated service specifications. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and we’re not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Attendance or non-attendance in this market engagement process shall not prevent any supplier partaking in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of this pre-procurement process shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process.
