IT Carlow Minor Mechanical Maintenance Term Maintenance & Refurbishment Contract Framework

Tender description

The Contracting Authority intend to form a multi-supplier frameworks for minor mechanical works contractor. The framework will exclude AHU’s & Extract Fans, Air Conditioning, Smoke Ventilation Systems, and Boiler & Associated Plant as these are included in separate contracts. The multi-supplier term contract will typically comprise maintenance and refurbishment work projects with the following estimated value of the works: 1. Minor Mechanical Works are not expected to be greater than €35,000 per year. 2. The number call outs for reactive maintenance repairs, and modifications is not expected to be greater than 100 (during normal working hours) and 10 (outside normal working hours) per year. 3. The number of emergency call outs for repairs which require a response time of 2 hours is not expected to be greater than 20 (during normal working hours) and 2 (outside normal working hours) per year. The term maintenance and refurbishment contract framework will be ad-hoc / maintenance / refurbishment type projects. They will also include emergency type projects that require a response time of 2 hours. The extent and scope of works will fulfil the requirements of ITC as they arise and will be agreed on an ongoing basis and executed subject to the issue of the relevant appointment documentation. The works will typically take place in Institute of Technology Carlow, Kilkenny Road, Carlow and from time to time on the Wexford and Wicklow Campuses. The typical works completed under this framework are repairs/modifications/installations of space heating services, water services, gas services, compressed air services, soils & waste services, and general maintenance services.
