Tender description

The purpose of this document is to describe the Teaching Council’s requirement for the provision of event management services for its annual FÉILTE event 2024. World Teachers’ Day (designated by UNESCO) is celebrated on 5 October each year. For the last eight years, the Teaching Council has hosted FÉILTE, the Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence, in celebration of World Teachers’ Day to coincide with this date as closely as possible. FÉILTE is a celebration of teaching, showcasing the work of teachers who are leading innovative learning projects. The day provides a platform for teachers to lead each other in maximising the use of innovation in their own professional practice for the benefit of their pupils and students. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded for a 2 year period with an option to extend the contract by a 2 further periods of up 1 year each (2+1+1), such extension or extensions on the same terms and conditions, subject to the Teaching Council’s obligations at law. The Teaching Council reserves the right to determine the timeframes at the contract stage.
