Tender description

Cork University Hospital is an existing facility consisting of several buildings, the main block requires the replacement of 6 No. lifts, operating as a group in the main core. During the replacement of a lift the environment around and outside of the anticipated hoarding will be a live hospital environment. It is proposed to replace 6 No. existing lifts with new 6 No. Motor Room Less lifts in existing shafts, with destination control and 2 No. destination control panels on each of the 6 No. landings. The control panels or maintenance access panels are to be located in the existing Motor Room. It is the intention to approach the project as one continuous sequence of works, whereby 1 No. lift at any time will be replaced. The total duration is currently envisaged as 54-weeks from start to finish and with an anticipated start date in March/ April 2021.
