NHS West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking the views of healthcare providers in relation to a community cardiology service for the Mid patch (covering Andover and Winchester, and their rural surrounds) of the North and Mid Hampshire ICS. The anticipated value of the service is GBP 275 000 per annum. F13189 — Mid Hampshire Community Cardiology Service NHS West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group Request for Information (RFI) NHS West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking the views of healthcare providers in relation to a community cardiology service for the Mid patch (covering Andover and Winchester, and their rural surrounds) of the North & Mid Hampshire ICS. The anticipated value of the service is GBP 275 000 per annum. This is a process designed to help the Commissioner form a view of the best way to commission the service and is not the beginning of a tender exercise. A further tender advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time, where required. A draft copy of the specification is embedded in the RFI document and can be accessed via our eTendering portal. Aims and objectives of the service are: • to improve the management of cardiovascular disease through an integrated community service, working closely with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; • to use experienced and accredited staff to provide first-line diagnostic services with a view to managing demand for acute cardiology services; • to support patients to understand their symptoms and empower them to take greater responsibility for their own health, as well as support GPs to care for patients with a cardiac condition as much as possible within a primary care setting; • to contribute to improved performance against the constitutional referral to treatment times for patients; • to provide a safe and effective community cardiology service which ensures the local healthcare system is able to make best use of limited cardiology capacity amidst increasing demand Thank you — we appreciate your time and effort in completing this RFI.
