Award of Contract for the Execution of Enabling Works at Palace Theatre

Tender description

In order to allow safe access to the Palace Theatre, Swansea for the design team, for surveys to be undertaken, enabling works (making safe) are required. Works include: Clearance of debris throughout the building Installation of barriers at fall risk locations Installation of suitable handrails on staircases etc., and balustrades Clearance/management of hanging/dangling elements above head, including ceilings where needed Clearance of pigeon guano Management of fungus Installation of suitable signage to communicate risks and hazards Erection of internal birdcage scaffolding in rotunda of building Internal scaffold towers in the centre of building Back propping to support floors, scaffold tower, stage, and brick arch roof in basement Holes in floor to be temporarily boarded over Identified areas of timber floors to be removed Temporary access stair to stage to be installed Debris netting covering the underside of the auditorium ceiling
