Tender description

This contract is for a one-off project required to design and specify structural elements for the proposed new zero waste park for the Council’s waste services. The zero waste project is being designed as part of the new Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012 which will enable Dumfries and Galloway Council to meet the key requirements of the EU Waste Framework directive. The main aims of the Zero Waste Park are: - To create an environment where goods and materials are continually cycled to support the sustainable growth of the Scottish economy and waste is progressively designed out of the system. - To allow waste to be treated as a resource, handled, and processed accordingly to ensure our use of natural resources are minimised.
