Tender for the purchase, delivery and installation of equipment for multiplex ELISA located in the Shannon ABC at IT Tralee

The Institute of Technology, Tralee (ITT) has a strong history of collaboration with the Irish biotechnology industrial sector and the Shannon ABC work with a range of companies in the biotechnology, biopharma, cosmetic and nutraceutical sectors. These types of companies find specific value in the type of information that cell culture and ELISA assays can provide. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a highly sensitive, plate-based assay technique designed for detecting and quantifying peptides, proteins, antibodies and hormones produced by mammalian cells. ELISA is one of the basic and most commonly used methods in the Shannon ABC laboratory. Shannon ABC needs to purchase specialized equipment designed for multiplex ELISA in order to increase capacity: shaking incubator, sterilizer, microplate washer, microplate shaker and multiplex ELISA imager and software. The technical specification of the multiplex ELISA equipment required by the Institute is set out in the tender document attached to this Contract Notice.
