<p>Contract No. ASSESS/STOD/20/1 Ashford Borough Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint hydrological and hydrogeological experts to provide support on a number of water related work areas . A working knowledge of the planning system and the process of Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA) is also required. The Consultant will assist the Council in the establishment of an Appropriate Assessment process that satisfies the requirements of the relevant Acts and Regulations including the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, and to advise the Council on the evidence and mitigation proposals submitted by applicants for planning permission within the Stour Catchment.
