Tender description

The Venue Development and Overlay Division of the Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games Ltd (‘the OC’) requires the services of an innovative and experienced organisation that can provide fully operational temporary water and waste infrastructure for each cluster/venue that meet the requirements to stage the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The temporary water and waste infrastructure supplier is expected to provide comprehensive overall planning, project management, design, production, delivery, maintenance and remediation of the temporary water and waste infrastructure. Further information is provided within the procurement documents. 72 Commonwealth nations and territories are expected to participate in the XXII Commonwealth Games, which is one of the world's largest multi-sport events, bringing together over 4 000 of the world's elite athletes every 4 years, in an 11-day festival of sport and culture. The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be held in venues across Birmingham and the West Midlands from 28 July until 8 August 2022. London's Olympic velodrome will also be utilised. At a high level, the scope of service includes the fabrication/manufacturing, engineering, procurement, design, supply, delivery, construction, installation, assembly, testing, commissioning, maintenance, repair, replacement, support, decommissioning, removal of (with all related accessories), as well as all remediation relating to the water and waste infrastructure. All Water and waste infrastructure will be provided by the supplier on hire/rental basis. The design, equipment and material requirements part of the scope of services are similar for each Venue as requirements are directly related to the geographical location of the Venues.
