Summary of the work The role is aimed at an experienced Security Assurance Coordinator and involves meeting the requirements of JSP 440, the Defence Manual of Security and ensuring systems meet accreditation standards. Extensive knowledge of Government and Defence Systems is essential. Specialist role Cyber security consultant Expected Contract Length 5 Months (until 31/03/2021). What Specialists Work On Provide security assurance to the Pegasus Programme as well as wider ISG requirements to transition Pegasus to CDIS. The Security, Service Management, and Directories elements of this SAC requirement will be needed to sustain and support existing live services as well as new capability tasking. The contracted SAC will be required to provide advice and support to the ISG Portfolio and Pegasus Programme Project Managers. Skills & Experience • Extensive experience of providing security assurance with Government and Defence systems, including a good understanding of the Interoperability Services and Gateways department including the Pegasus Programme (40%) • Experience in working with international project teams, providing security assurance guidance in support of delivery (20%) • Experience of working to the Defence Digital CAPINT Process (20%) • Ability to work across multiple project teams whilst maintaining key security assurance outputs (20%) Work Location Defence Digital, Building 405, Spur D1, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, Corsham, Wiltshire SN13 9NR Working Arrangments All tasking will take place from MOD Corsham and you are required 5 days a week, the working day is 8 hours to include 30 minutes for lunch. Day visits may be required within the UK. Travel and subsistence will be provided for off-site working at MOD Civilian Rates. Security Clearance Due to short timescales DV Clearance must be in place prior to contract starting & for the duration, due to the projects the individual is required to work with. Role is shown as 5 days per week in Corsham. What are current Covid-19 working arrangements? Currently the workforce are requested to work from home, with laptops provided. The department is planning a phased return to the Corsham office. Working from Corsham will be required for any discussions that cannot be carried out via MODNet, Skype etc. 5. Can you please clarify the T&S rate quoted? Is this £1,000 ex VAT per day/week/month or for the entire initial 5-month period? The £1000 ex VAT is for the entire contract period. With current working arrangements, the Authority believes that this will be sufficient for the 5 month period. Currently, no travel is planned for this role for the foreseeable future. 6. Is £650 your total rate including supplier fees or is that the rate you are happy to be paid to the candidate with supplier fees additional? The maximum £650 day rate is inclusive of all suppliers fees and costs (including T&S) associated with being based at Corsham (when working at Corsham is permitted re. Covid-19). 7. This follows the APM methodology of Concept, Definition, Development, Handover & Closure. It incorporates the extended project lifecycle including benefits realisation and operational phase and subsequent termination or refresh activity of ICT services.Within each phase there are stage and gate reviews, either for key decision points to proceed with funding projects or reviewing activity within sub-divided stages to track the process or check against the expected output or outcome. Throughout the CAPINT lifecycle, security assurance is required to ensure the JSP604 process is adhered too.
