Fingal County Council has received Grant Funding under the Failte Ireland Developed & Emerging Destinations Towns Capital Investment Programme 2019 for the development of an interactive interpretation that would tell the story of the Martello Towers of Dublin. The interpretation will be housed within the re-developed Skerries Martello Tower at Red Island, Skerries in Co. Dublin. Tenders for the design and fit-out are sought from interested parties to bring to life this story in an imaginative and family friendly way using an appropriate mix of technology and static displays to create a unique, interesting exhibition that would appeal to all ages and demographics, attracting locals and national and international visitors alike.
