Tender description
The objective of this RFI is to gather information solely to support a future procurement process. It will not influence vendor makeup or outcomes for any vendor in that future procurement process. E.g. There will be no shortlisting of vendors to result in an award and contract as a result of this RFI. The infrastructure programme has a number of key dependencies which vendors will need to be aware of and account for: a. The construction of the new hospital by the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) and the dependencies the CHI ICT programme has on building milestones which it does not manage or control. b. The scale of building and medical device implementations, each provided by NPHDB as part of the equipping programme for the new hospital c. The procurement of the Electronic Health Record system (EHR) and the influence it will have on infrastructure depending on the solution selected, the hosting approach and the application’s requirements for infrastructure and related services d. The procurement of the EHR and the influence it will have on the roadmap for applications in use today in Crumlin and Temple Street Hospitals. This in turn will have an influence over the scope of infrastructure delivery given that some applications will be decommissioned and others will be retained. Construction of the new hospital is progressing however the covid19 pandemic has impacted and continues to impact construction progress. Given the uncertainly arising, it is currently challenging to estimate when relevant milestones will be reached. A procurement for an electronic healthcare record (EHR) system is underway. The finalised scope for this delivery will have a significant influence on the quantum and makeup of certain aspects of the scope of the procurement to follow from this RFI.
