Tender description

HV AP and maintenance and works. HV authorised person to be appointed in writing by the trust once the authorising engineer is satisfied they have received appropriate training and site familiarity Roles and duties of the authorised person are stated in the HTM 06-03 Section 4. Roles and duties will be stated on each AP’s authorised person appointment certificate. Authorised persons are to spend a minimum of 16 hours on each of the sites they are authorised for per year for site familiarity. Authorised persons are to be assessed by the authorising engineer on a yearly basis. 4 hours per authorised person. An authorised Person will be available and provide emergency 24/7 cover for all HGS sites with a response to site time of no more than 2 hours. The Trust with help from the authorising engineer has put together an operational procedure manual. The successful contractor(s) with help from the trust will develop the following and copies provided for the operational procedure manual: • disaster recovery plan; • emergency call out contact details; • health and safety documentation; • authorised person competency records; • call out reports; • yearly HV equipment health report; • anything else we agree necessary. The trust holds a quarterly HV Meeting. The successful contractor(s) will be required to attend once a year to report on the following: • HV equipment health report; • appointed authorised persons time on site; • health and safety issues; • anything else we agree necessary. Lot 1 will be awarded to one successful contractor for all 3 sites. Please see Appendix 4 for schedule of rates. HV maintenance Schedule of equipment Heartlands Hospital 7 x HV substations 3 x 1 000 KVA transformers 8 x 500 KVA transformers 2 x 800 KVA transformers 1 x 1600 KVA CHP transformer 7 x RMU’s Associated battery tripping units The Heartlands site AP also covers an offsite premises known as Yardley Green 1 x RMU 2 x transformers See Appendix 1 for Heartlands HV Mimic diagram.
