Tender description

Contract for provision of commuter, regional and long distance rail services on the UK conventional mainline rail system. It is envisaged the services would run between: (a) London to Norwich via Ipswich; (b) London to Stansted Airport / Cambridge via Tottenham Hale; (c) London to Hertford East via Hackney Downs and Tottenham Hale; (d) Hackney Downs to Cheshunt; (e) Ely to King’s Lynn; (f) London to Southend/Southminster via Shenfield; (g) London to Braintree via Chelmsford; (h) London to Clacton-on-Sea/Walton-on-the-Naze/Colchester Town via Colchester; (i) London to Harwich Town; (j) London to Felixstowe/Lowestoft via Ipswich; (k) Peterborough to Ipswich via Bury St Edmunds; (l) Sudbury to Marks Tey; (m) Norwich to Stansted Airport via Ely; (n) Norwich to Sheringham; (o) Norwich to Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft. There is a mixture of leisure, business and commuter travel. These services would be similar to those currently operated on the East Anglia Franchise.
