Provision of Services for the Electrical installation of a dust collection filter system

Tender description

Smartply Europe DAC are installing a new Scheuch impulse filter to replace two 1995 Donaldson Torit filters which are currently extracting dust from on their Drybin and Blender area. Therefore, Smartply are seeking firm quotations from suitably qualified Electrical Contractors for the electrical installation of this system. All the scope details are outlined in section 3 and all schematics/drawings are available on request only by contacting Seamus.Ryan@mdfosb.com. The objective of the installation is to comply with new EPA limits, Safety by locating the filter external, and increased extraction capacity for the future production requirements. Most of the mechanical installation is complete with the main components positioned and ready for connection in early November 2020. The tie in of the extraction ducts to the existing system will require the decommission of the current filter plants BH2 and BH5. The decommission and tie in will require a shutdown of the plant which is currently planned for Q1 of 2021. It is expected to complete the cable, containment and device installation this year. The balance of work can then only take place during the changeover and commissioning shut in Q1 2021. Please note that the Scheuch filter system, extraction duct and spark detection components are FREE ISSUE by Smartply to the successful contractor, all other Materials, Components, Plant, Equipment and Labour to complete the works is the responsibility of the contractor.
