<p>Advance Northumberland is looking to appoint an external independent consultant to carry out a study which will determine the viability of a STEM Hub in the town of Alnwick, Northumberland. The report should cover the following: -An assessment of STEM provision in the local area and throughout Northumberland? -An understanding of the skills required to fill the gaps in provision -An understanding of the requirements of local employers and their difficulties with recruiting and retaining skilled staff -An assessment of the key skill shortages suffered by local employers, and the key technologies they use within their business -An understanding of the local working population &ndash; where and how far do they currently travel to work? -An assessment of local educational STEM delivery and the appetite of school leads to support such a facility -Evidence of need and a suggested delivery model.
