Tender description
Norfolk County Council is committed to developing an Individual Service Fund offer for people who use social care services. We would like to invite you to consider whether you would like to participate in our early adopter project which we plan to launch in 2021.An Individual Service Fund (ISF) is one way of managing a personal budget, where someone who needs care and support (and/or their family, advocate or carer) chooses an organisation to manage the budget on their behalf and works with them to plan care and support services and activities that will help them to achieve their identified outcomes. We believe that managed correctly this will give greater choice and control to people and greater flexibility of use of the personal budget to meet eligible needs. We are keen to hear from Providers who would like to offer their customers the opportunity to manage their personal budget via an Individual Service Fund. You may have customers who use are currently using direct payments or are supported via a service commissioned by NCC. We are not asking you to commit to only offering the ISF model. You can continue to work with customers in a variety of ways. We would like to have an initial conversation with you about how you could offer ISFs to your current clients and the support you might need from us via an introductory workshop and Q&A on 24 November 2020. If you would like to attend via Microsoft Teams, then please provide you contact details (including email address) and a brief summary of your organisation to laura.clarke@norfolk.gov.uk before noon on Friday 20 November.
