GLA 81649 – Retrofit Accelerator for Homes: deep retrofit of domestic properties

<p>This opportunity is being issued under the innovation partnership procedure pursuant to regulation 31 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.</p> <p><br />The opportunity relates to the procurement process advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union, and is known as "GLA 81649 - Retrofit Accelerator for Homes". This procurement process is being managed by TfL on behalf the Greater London Authority (the Client).</p> <p><br />The Client has identified the need for an innovative solution that cannot be met by purchasing what is already available on the market. This procurement process, along with the resulting contractual arrangements, aims at:</p> <p><br />(a) The development of that innovative solution; and</p> <p>(b) The subsequent purchase of it, provided that the developed solution corresponds to the performance levels (as set down in the Innovation Partnership Contract) and maximum costs.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The key purposes of this procurement can be summarised as being to:</p> <ol> <li>develop and create a market solution that does not presently exist in the UK market: namely a scaleable performance assured standard &lsquo;whole house&rsquo; net zero energy (NZE) solution for retrofitting homes at an economic price point;</li> <li>provide an effective route to market for pipeline projects from Housing Providers in respect of retrofit solutions for homes; and</li> <li>develop a robust supply chain to deliver NZE solutions as referred to above in point 1.</li> </ol> Keywords: sustainability, environment, retrofit
