Call for competition. The Institute will be the contracting authority, subject to commencement of the relevant provisions of the Technical and Further Education Act 2017. The purpose of the procurement is to select and appoint an Awarding Organisation (AO) (or AOs) to be responsible for developing and delivering each of the wave 4 T Level technical qualifications, under an exclusive licensing approach. The expected scope of the role of the AO(s) is that it it/they would be responsible for: — designing the content of the qualification, — upskilling providers (further education schools and colleges), — providing of learning and teaching materials, — updating content, and — delivering qualification assessment services. This lot covers the selection of a supplier (awarding organisation) for the award of the contract to design, implement and deliver the technical qualification component for the hair and beauty: hair, beauty and aesthetics T Level. T Levels are a new classroom-based technical study programme forming part of the UK Government's Post-16 skills plan. They will be available to young people alongside apprenticeships as one half of a high quality technical education offer. T Levels will be primarily studied at an education or training provider. Students will study a broad occupational area before specialising, and will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills on a substantial industry placement.
