Southern Water is carrying out a market engagement exercise on the supply of reverse osmosis membranes and invites potential suppliers to contribute to the market research. Southern Water is carrying out a market engagement exercise on the supply of reverse osmosis membranes for a desalination plant for Southern Water. Southern Water is at an early stage in the development of its solutions and is testing the market prior to formulating any formal procurement opportunity. The aim of this market engagement exercise is to gain a better understanding of the capacity and appetite of the market to deliver the requirement — specifically around the market's potential commitment to achieve DWI Regulation 31 certification, which is a necessary requirement for supplying Reverse Osmosis membranes to be installed for Southern Water’s Desalination solution. The scope of the requirement could potentially also include installation, maintenance and commissioning and after sales technical support services for the Reverse Osmosis membranes. Engagement will take the form of virtual one to one meetings in November 2020 via Webex.
