Tender description

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHCFT) wishes to reestablish a contract for the provision of Counselling services within the North Tyneside Talking Therapies Services (NTTT). NTTT which is ran by NHCFT delivers primary care psychological therapies using the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) stepped care model across North Tyneside. NHCFT require a supplier to deliver a fully integrated Counselling service, under Step 2c of the stepped care model and clinical pathway. It is expected that the provider will offer a range of counselling interventions. The contract will be for an initial period of 4 years with the option to extend by a further 12-month period. The contracting authority is conducting this procurement as an open procedure under the Light Touch Regime in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has a requirement for the delivery of counselling services within North Tyneside Talking Therapies. This contract will provide a range of counselling interventions, including: • counselling for depression (CfD); • couples therapy/counselling for depression; • health related issues: coping with injury or illness; • victimisation and harassment; • stress; • anxiety and depression disorder; • bereavement, grief and loss other forms of loss e.g. relationship, employment and health; • life adjustment difficulties. These will be delivered in a number of ways including one to one and via group work where appropriate. In line with Covid-19 changes a variety of therapy mediums will be utilised including face to face, telephone and video consultation.
