The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) requests a tender for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), preliminary design, and full project design for the widening of Reykjanesbraut Highway(41), from the intersection at Krýsuvíkvegur road to the end of four lanes west of Straumsvík in Hvassahraun area. The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA) requests a tender for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), preliminary design, and full project design for the widening of Reykjanesbraut Highway(41), from the intersection at Krýsuvíkvegur road to the end of four lanes west of Straumsvík in Hvassahraun area. The project involves widening the existing Reykjanesbraut to the south, design one new intersection, one tunnel for pedestrians and cyclist, a new road connection to Straumur, and a road connection to the municipality's sewage pumping station east of Straumsvík. The length of the Reykjanesbraut section is approximately 5.6 km. Qualification and price decides the choice and the tenderer must send his bid in two parts, i.e. (1) information on bidder eligibility, (2) and price bidding. The work must be completed in full on 1 February 2022. Tender will be opened in two stages 22 July 2020 and 11 August 2020.
