Supply, delivery & commissioning of a de-powdering unit

The University of Strathclyde require a de-powdering unit to remove unfused and loose powder from the surface as well as accessible interior channels of an Additive Manufactured part. A de-powdering unit is required to remove unfused and loose powder from the surface and accessible interior channels of an Additive Manufactured part. The de-powdering unit is expected to work specifically for metallic parts and therefore should be able to handle fine metal powders. All the necessary processing steps should be carried out within a safe and secure enclosed chamber. The unit should have the necessary safety ratings so that it can handle even reactive metal powders such as Titanium. The de-powdering unit shall be housed at the laser powder bed facility at K-Block and is likely to be moved to be housed permanently the new NMIS facility when the construction of it is complete.
