Tender description

The collection, treatment and processing of street sweepings and highway construction materials. Lot 1: Collection, Treatment and Recycling of Street Sweepings. • The bulk collection of street sweepings and gulley tank residues from the Council’s bulking facility at Evanston Avenue, Kirkstall Road, Leeds, LS4 2HR, for onward transfer to the contractors treatment site; • The treatment and processing of all street sweepings with a view to maximising opportunities that will contribute to the Council’s recycling/composting performance (as per the definition of the former 192 performance indicator). Lot 2: Collection and transportation of skips. • The provision of a service for the collection and transportation of skips located across the Leeds City Council district that the Council’s street sweepers use for tipping street sweeping material. The contractor will be required to transport the skips to the Council’s bulking facility at Evanston Avenue, Kirkstall Road, Leeds, LS4 2HR. (Let under a licence to occupy). Lot 3: Collection, treatment and recycling of highways construction waste materials. • The provision of a service for the collection, transportation, treatment and recycling of highway construction waste materials arising from highways works in the Leeds City Council district. Lot 4: Provision of various aggregate materials (collected and delivered). • The provision of various grades of recycled inert construction material either collected or delivered.
