Tender description

The Arts Council is dedicated to supporting a vibrant community of visual artists, visual arts groups and organisations so that the public can experience the highest standard of visual arts, in urban and in rural parts of Ireland. We consider visual arts to include a range of media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, live art/performance, film, video or other digital imaging media. The Arts Council now wishes to appoint a Visual Arts Assessor who will meet the needs of the organisation both from a quality and service delivery perspective. The Assessor sought is primarily to cover areas of work including but not limited to: Assist the Council in the process of evaluating applications received from individual artists and groups of artists for awards, schemes, grants and other funding opportunities offered by the Council, either independently or in conjunction with another body. . To maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the visual arts in Ireland and overseas, including the identification of new trends in practice, and how these relate to Arts Council policy priorities.
