Tender description
The derelict brownfield site is located at Robinson Cleaning Services, Waveney Laundry, Clonavon Road, Ballymena. The site area is circa 0.31 hectares. The site is surrounded by residential properties to the north by 2-30 Clonavon Road, to the west by 25-9 Clonavon Terrace to the south by 87-103 Bridge St to the SE by 1-15 Prospect Place. The former laundry has been demolished with only the foundations indicating the former building footprint. The remainder of the site comprises areas of tarmac hard standing and an access roadway with pockets of overgrown vegetation. There is an existing out-building and hardstanding’s that require demolition. There is a NIE Substation within the South West area of the site. Commercial premises, 2-4 North Street, also require demolishing. The neighbouring land use is predominately residential.
