Tender description

This contract has already been awarded and is published for transparency purposes. MHCLG is responsible for Government policy relating to housing, planning and building, local growth, local government, integration and community cohesion. Its job is to create great places to live and work right across the country. It is a ministerial department, supported by 13 agencies and public bodies. Research contract to assess the current provisions in Approved Document B (ADB) regarding structural fire resistance and fire-separating elements, by establishing the underpinning evidence base, and reviewing alternative approaches. The project will review the current effectiveness and appropriateness of guidance within ADB regarding structural fire resistance and fire separating elements in meeting the minimum requirements of Schedule 1 Part B of the Building Regulations 2010. This contract has been awarded following a mini competition under the CCS - Research Marketplace Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) ref RM6018.
