LEE975C - IT Tralee - Supply of a Modular Manufacturing Autonomous Industrial Vehicle (AIV) Testbed

Tender description

Tenders are sought for the supply and installation of a Modular Manufacturing Autonomous Industrial Vehicle (AIV) testbed for research, development and demonstration purposes. The testbed will consist of four (4) 'dummy' manufacturing stations with product input/output conveyers and a fleet of four (4) AIVs with payload carrying platforms, suitable charging station for said AIVs, and associated control facilities for both conveyors and mobile robots. The AIV’s should have the ability to self-navigate, charge and be suitable for the future integration of manipulators and conveyors onto the platform to allow interaction with modular workstations and workstation / process machinery conveyors. Suitable external server software capable of managing, scheduling and navigating a fleet of said AIVs is also required. The fleet management software should have the ability to manage a fleet of up to 10 AIVs working in unison on a factory floor style test-bed. Please note that due to the interconnected and integrated nature of the technical requirements and specifications of the interlinked modules, for practical and operational reasons, and with a view to minimising disruption to future research, the Contracting Authority is seeking a single-source supply for all modules.
