Tender description

Learning disability, mental health and autism — light touch DPS. The Council is commissioning a light touch DPS system for its learning disability; mental health and autism services. Annual spend for the Council is in the region of GBP 40 million and forecast to grow. The Council is operating this procurement and any call offs from the DPS under the light touch regime for social and other specific services, as set out in the PCR 2015, at Section 7 (Regulations 74 to 77) and Schedule 3. The Council intends to exercise the full flexibility granted therein to operate the tender and any resulting call offs. The DPS will currently be solely for Cheshire West and Chester Council to commission services. The Council may develop an integrated commissioning strategy during the lifetime of the DPS, which may provide collaborative opportunities for the local CCG to call off services. These remain future aspirations and there is no commitment to adopting this approach. Successful providers under the DPS will be informed of any changes as and when relevant. The Council may decide to introduce lots into the DPS following the first year of operation.
