Tender description

The V&A wishes to procure a hand-held X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, capable of identifying in situ the elemental composition of objects having a wide variety of sizes and shapes. The instrument chosen will be a 'turn-key' system and all hardware, firmware and software costs must be included in tender returns. In addition a full five year service contract (one year statutory warranty plus an additional four years of maintenance) should be included in the total cost. The instrument will be used in the Science Laboratory, stores and galleries across all V&A sites. Tenders may provide options or alternative quotes. Please note that the budget is not confirmed and the award of contract is subject to the V&A receiving the AHRC CapCo funding.
