Tender description

The overarching objective of MISCOMAR+ is to create beneficial socio-economic-environmental prospects for marginal lands using the perennial resilient C4 grass Miscanthus. MISCOMAR+ is a 'follow on' project to add value and build on MISCOMAR (FACCE SURPLUS Call 1, June 2016 - May 2019) through new trials and valorisation pathways, and new environmental, biochemical, and industrial expertise in an expanded team. The MISCOMAR+ project is structured in five work packages (WPs) with specific focus to make the overall project deliver the objectives described. Together, efforts in all WPs will improve Miscanthus biomass production on marginal and or contaminated land (MaCL), develop and demonstrate novel valorisation options for the biomass, and provide a holistic estimation of potential environmental and socioeconomic benefits and impacts.
